  • Step 1 – Go to www.yahoo.com, the Internet Web site home page of Yahoo.
  • Step 2 – In the search box, type in descriptive keywords related to research topic.
  • Step 3 – Press the enter (return) key on the keyboard or mouse click the Web Search box.

Re-cap: Go to www.yahoo.com and type in your keywords of interest in the search box, click the search button, and wait for the search results page to appear on the computer screen. When the search results page is displayed, an enormous list of Web site “links” related to the keywords entry will come into view on the computer screen. From this list, mouse-click the link(s) of interest, and search for information and ideas connected with subject matter or topic being searched. Performing additional research may lead to useful ideas for expansion of course related materials and projects.

Using Yahoo in Applying the Keyword Search Method
If interested, type www.yahoo.com into a search engine browser box and press the enter (return) key and the Web site home page of Yahoo will appear on the screen. In the Yahoo search box, type the keywords “teaching materials” or “educational resources” or “classroom projects” and press the enter (return) key. You may think of other keywords of interest to use, if so use them. Probably the keywords listed above will suffice to provide you with plenty of Web sites for acquiring many new and useful ideas to consider in support of this course.

Using Google Applying the Keyword Search Method
If interested, go online at www.google.com and click the cursor inside the search box. Then type in your search text (keywords of interest) in the search box and press the enter (return) key. What comes up on the computer screen will be a display list of several links containing a match to your keyword search. Clicking on the listed links will lead to Web sites reflecting information, ideas, and resources that may be of use in support of this course.
